M&K Truck Centers Acquires 5 GATR Truck Center Dealerships!
BYRON CENTER, MI / June 1, 2026 – M&K Truck Centers is excited to announce continued record growth following the successful acquisition of five GATR Truck Center dealerships—three located in Iowa and two in Minnesota. This acquisition, finalized on May 29, 2026, involves substantially all of the assets of five GATR Truck Center locations serving Iowa and Minnesota.
Effective immediately, M&K will expand its product offerings across Iowa and Minnesota.

Full support services & parts will be available at all locations. With this acquisition, M&K expands its footprint to 38 locations across nine states, marking a significant milestone for the company. M&K Truck Centers has retained nearly all employees from GATR Truck Center, welcoming over 200 talented people into the M&K family.

M&K Truck Centers Names Tom Vatter Vice President of Mack Truck Sales
BYRON CENTER, MI / February 27, 2026 – M&K Truck Centers is pleased to announce the promotion of Tom Vatter to Vice President of Mack Truck & Medium Duty Sales, effective immediately. Tom joined M&K Truck Centers in March 2020 and has served in several key leadership roles within the organization over the last six years. M&K Truck Centers Names Chris Cooler Director of Trailer Sales
BYRON CENTER, MI / October 8, 2025 – M&K Truck Centers is excited to announce that Chris Cooler has joined our executive team as the Director of Trailer Sales, effective immediately.
Chris comes to us with extensive experience in the trailer industry, having spent 12 years at East Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of aluminum flatbed, drop deck, dump, and refuse trailers, as well as aluminum truck bodies and steel dump trailers. Additionally, he held a leadership role for 10 years with the sales team at Davey Drilling Equipment. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
In his new role, Chris will be responsible for guiding M&K as we navigate the competitive landscape of trailer sales. Chris will assist in overseeing M&K’s trailer division and new trailer sales.

M&K Truck Centers Plans Expansion into Northeast Ohio
BYRON CENTER, MI / May 29, 2024 – M&K Truck Centers is pleased to announce that we have entered into a purchase agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Austinburg Truck Center. M&K will offer Mack, Volvo and East products and all support services at its Austinburg, Ohio location. Also, M&K has negotiated for the additional Ohio counties of: Columbiana, Erie, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Summit, Trumbull; and the following Pennsylvania counties: Butler and Mercer. M&K Truck Centers will support this territory expansion from the 56,000 SQ FT state-of-the-art facility in Austinburg.
The acquisition will expand M&K’s footprint to 28 locations in six states, a significant milestone for the company. The expansion into Ohio will benefit both M&K customers and current Austinburg Truck Center customers. With access to a full network of locations along the I80, I90, I76, and I70 corridors between major cities on the East Coast and upper Midwest, Austinburg Truck Center customers will have immediate access to all M&K locations and will be recognized at each location as an M&K customer. Additionally, M&K customers traveling through these areas will also have access to our top-quality products and services in Ohio.
