Diesel Technician

M&K Truck Centers in Alsip Illinois is a Volvo, Mack and Hino truck dealership committed to providing top notch repairs and customer service. We are currently seeking experienced full time technicians to fill open rolls on our second shift Monday through Friday from 3:30pm - midnight.

Job Duties:

·        Repair and diagnose trucks of all makes and models

·        Work closely and professionally with our service advisors, foremen and managers

·        Submit detailed parts requests to our parts department to build estimates and repair vehicles

·        Clearly document all repairs performed and parts used.

·        Perform repairs and maintenance on trucks ranging from replacing a light bulb to performing in-frame engine overhauls (based off of skill and experience) – This can include internal engine work, diagnostic, transmission, electrical or as basic as PM services.

·        Help keep the shop clean, organized and a safe environment to work in

Experience:

We are seeking technicians who have graduated from a technical school or who have worked hands on in a shop previously.

Requirements:

·        Must own at least a basic set of tools and to perform repairs on class 8 trucks

·        Must complete the provided manufacturer training within 6 months of hire

·        Must have a willingness to work as part of a team

·        Class A or B CDL is preferred but not required
